Job Description

Cafe in Sandyford looking for a cafe manager. immediate start.


  • Identifying and implementing additional required operational procedure
  • Responsible for daily management of all SOPs
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all security safety standards
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all HACCP procedures and food safety issues
  • Maintaining and improving on customer service, café visuals both interior and exterior
  • Managing the Health and Safety systems and ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities 



  • Recruitment
  • Disciplinary action as required
  • Making sure all staff receive training in line with their responsibilities
  • Implementing competitive staff incentives
  • Conduct regular staff appraisals to review staff performance and identify any training needs
  • Ensuring that all employee records are accurately maintained 


  • Identifying additional sales opportunities to create better revenues
  • Creating and implementing sales driven incentives and deals for customers
  • Identifying seasonal sales growth opportunities 


  • Preparation of weekly rosters and monitoring time keeping
  • Monitoring completion of all paperwork including cleanings rosters, supplier invoices and delivery dockets, toilet checks, etc.
  • Dealing with any customer complaints and issues
  • Updating menus, allergens, staff handbooks, safety procedures
  • Filing paperwork reports including cash ups, temperature record charts, etc.
  • Oversee supplier orders and deliveries
  • Diary management for customer bookings and orders 


  • Preparing and submitting weekly management reports including sales, waste, payroll, purchases, comps, site transfers
  • Preparing and analyzing café budgets


  • Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to drive service in a café or restaurant environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills - always available to deal with any customer concerns while displaying a positive and committed attitude to customers
  • Proactive in their approach to dealing with customers
  • Strong team player with the ability to keep the morale elevated as can get very busy
  • Ability to use their initiative in an unpredictable environment
  • Proven organisational skills
